Robyn Volkers

Position:

Centre Head

I look after the running of the centre and make sure my team and I are providing the best possible cancer support.

I have many years’ experience as a cancer nurse in different settings and specialise in cancer information both online and face-to-face. I also have a special interest in long term effects of cancer treatments.

I’m here to listen, to help you talk things over and to find the information and support that’s right for you and your family. I also run several of our support groups, courses and workshops.

Temi Omooba

Position:

Cancer Support Specialist

I give one-to-one information and support and will guide you through the parts of our support that are most appropriate to you. I also run many of our support groups, workshops, and courses.

I’m here to listen.

Karim Said

Position:

Benefits Advisor

I can help with finding out if there is any extra money that you may be entitled to as well as helping you manage any debts that you may have.

I am able to help with other practical things like parking and travel costs and any other queries you may have.

Helen Muir

Position:

Centre Fundraising Manager

I make sure we raise enough money to keep our doors open for people with cancer.

I look after corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, fundraising events and much more.

If you’d like to support us here, we’d love to hear from you.

Catherine Zabilowicz

Position:

Nutritional Therapist

I’m a qualified Nutritional Therapist and joined Maggie’s in 2008.

I run regular nutrition workshops and I am here to help you make sense of all the information about healthy eating and how it can help during cancer treatment and cancer prevention.

Jenni Stone

Position:

Yoga Teacher

My background is as a yoga teacher with over 20 years’ experience specialising in supporting people with cancer and women’s health.

My yoga sessions are slow mindful classes which focus on the needs of people going through cancer treatment and beyond. You will learn practises to improve mobility and build strength as well as breathing and relaxation techniques to restore energy and manage stress.

Laura Ichajapanich

Position:

Qigong Teacher

I am an acupuncturist with over 30 years' experience as a Taiji (Tai chi) and Qigong instructor.

My Qigong (pronounced 'chee gung') sessions involve gentle exercise and stretches that combine breath with movement. Through regular practice, benefits of Qigong include improved balance and energy levels, greater concentration, a greater sense of calm and awareness of your dantian (centre) and internal strength. No experience is required to join these sessions.
