Welcome to Maggie's Manchester
Whatever kind of cancer, and whatever stage you’re at – we're here with you.
Many of our staff are NHS-trained and all our Cancer Support Specialists have expert knowledge about cancer and treatment.
Our warm and welcoming centre is a place to unwind, a place to find information or switch off from it, a place to talk about cancer or forget about it – just come in.

Getting here by:
Car
Visitors to Maggie's are welcome to use The Christie's patient car parks, which are located on Wilmslow Road and Palatine Road. There is also on-street parking on Kinnaird Road, which is limited to three hours.
Public Transport
Buses (42, 42A, 42B, 42C, 142) stop regularly at the end of Kinnaird Road.
The nearest tram stop is West Didsbury, which is a 15-minute walk from the centre.

Walking
We are at the bottom of Kinnaird Road off Wilmslow Road on the opposite side to the main hospital building.
Cross over the pedestrian crossing near the Out Patient’s clinic entrance. We are behind the large white Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC).
Walk down to the right of this building on Kinnaird Road. You will see our pavilion-style building at the bottom of Kinnaird Road.
Accessibility
The centre is accessible to people with disabilities. Access to the building (and to the majority of the garden too) is step free. We have an accessible toilet. The Maggie's team will try to provide you with the necessary support to allow you to access the space and make use of our support.

Robin Muir
Position:
Centre Head & Clinical Psychologist
I look after the running of the centre and make sure my team and I are providing the best possible cancer support.
I have over nine years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist specialising in oncology care. I worked in oncology, cardiology, neurology and general medicine before joining Maggie’s in 2016.

Position:
Counselling Psychologist
As a qualified Counselling Psychologist, I can help if things are getting on top of you, if you're scared, stuck, worried or feeling down.
We can talk about things in a safe and supportive space, and you can see me in private, in a group or with your family.
Maria Hughes

As a qualified Clinical Psychologist, I can help if things are getting on top of you, if you're scared, stuck, worried or feeling down.

Angela Daniel

Cancer Support Specialist
I give one-to-one information and support and will guide you through the parts of our support that are most appropriate to you. I also run many of our support groups, workshops, and courses.

Jenn Darbyshire
Position:
Cancer Support Specialist
My background is in Nursing, and I have worked in oncology and as a specialist nurse in breast cancer within the NHS. Here at Maggie's, I use my experience to guide people affected by cancer. I provide one-to-one support and navigate people to use the various sessions we have at Maggie's.

Lisa Evans
Position:
Cancer Support Specialist
My background is as an Occupational Therapist, and I have worked in several settings including rehabilitation and palliative care.
I give one-to-one information and support and will guide you through the parts of our support that are most appropriate to you. I also run many of our support groups, workshops, and courses.
I’m here to listen – just come in.
Lucy Canning
Position:
Cancer Support Specialist
My background is in Oncology, predominantly as a lung cancer specialist nurse. I have supported patients and their loved ones from diagnosis to treatment and through follow-up.
I give one-to-one information and support and will guide centre visitors through groups and workshops on the timetable that they may find beneficial. I also run many of the Getting Started With Chemotherapy sessions.
